In today’s episode, the Audit Office said it has wrapped up its report on the ‘golden passports’ and will be releasing it next month.

Audit Office spokesman Marios Petrides said the report’s findings will “surprise, but not pleasantly”.

Elsewhere, Cyprus is prepared for the “new pandemic”, Health Minister Michalis Hadjipantela said after a wide-range meeting on monkeypox yesterday, as cases in European Union recorded a 30 per cent increase in the past week.

In other news, a photo printed on lottery tickets in the north has landed officials in hot water and started a political media war after it was revealed that depicted fighters holding a Turkish flag were actually Greek Cypriot Eoka fighters rejoicing after capturing a Turkish Cypriot stronghold in 1964.
