police

Two people aged 28 and 30 were arrested on Sunday just after 9pm at a beach bar in Paphos for causing a disturbance in a public place while under the influence of alcohol, and for resisting lawful arrest and assaulting a police officer during the execution of his duty.

After being informed about a public disturbance, police arrived at the bar in question to find three drunk individuals, tourists, being disorderly.

The three refused to cooperate and show their identification documents to police.

Of them, a 28-year-old and a 30-year-old further resisted and assaulted police members by shoving them around.

The other individual, 29, did not put up any resistance.

All three were taken to Paphos police station and the 28-year-old and the 30-year-old were arrested while the third was released.
