More than €6,000 stolen from parked car at Paphos beach

Police are investigating a case of theft of a large sum of money from a parked car in Paphos.

More than €6,000 was lifted from the car.

A complaint was filed by a 52-year-old on Friday just after 6pm.

According to the complaint, the theft took place while the vehicle at a beach car park in the Lemba area.

A bag containing more than €6,000, a watch, a mobile phone and two school bags was lifted from the car.

The police urged the public to never leave money or other valuables inside their vehicle even when it is locked.

Moreover, it stressed that when parking a car, even if it is only for a few minutes, the keys should be removed, the windows should be fully closed, and the vehicle should be locked.
