Ayia Napa to get new €7m fire station

The department of public works announced a tender on Friday for a new Ayia Napa fire station slated to cost more than €7 million.

The total area of ​​the project amounts to 2350m2 (a ground floor of 1800m2 and first floor of 550m2) and is to include, among others, areas for administration, training, sports, changing rooms, overnight staff accommodation, storage and a depot of ​​600m2, as well as eight fire engine parking lots, spaces for 25 vehicles, an underground fuel tank, and an underground water tank for testing fire pumps.

The total estimated value pf the project is €7,378,000 including VAT and the deadline for submission of bids is January 27, 2023.

The contract is expected to be signed by April and the duration of its study and construction is 30 months, the ministry of transport announced.
