Larnaca is continuing to spray against the Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, as weather conditions are enabling their growth, the municipality announced on Friday.

The health ministry and municipality are also working on an information campaign reaching out to people door-to-door and clearing out any containers with pooled water.

Authorities are spraying open areas that are surrounded with water, such as canals and rainwater gates.

“All efforts are taking place under the scientific supervision of Tepak university’s research team.”

The municipality called on the public not to keep areas around their home with pools of water, such as barrels, swimming pools or plant pots with pooled water.

For any information, the public can reach Larnaca municipality at 24816530.
