Larnaca man arrested for driving with loaded air pistol

Larnaca police on Wednesday arrested a 32-year-old man for transporting a loaded air pistol and reckless driving.

According to police statement, during a traffic patrol police noticed the man driving dangerously and stopped the vehicle.

In the search that followed, police found a which a small quantity of duty-free cigarettes and cigars, as well as the loaded air pistol, under the driver’s seat.

Examinations confirmed the owner of the air pistol to be the 32-year-old, however, it was being transported illegally.

Police took the offender to Oroklini station for further examinations and charged him in writing, where after he was released, pending court summons.
