Melodies, rhythms and sonic journeys fill the island’s nightlife scene as more live music performances are coming up. Musicians from around Cyprus are getting ready to host evenings of foot-tapping – some head-banging – music. Here are a few options.
Nicosia has several music happenings this weekend, and gigs are happening in Limassol and Larnaca too. Sto Dromo bar, situated in Limassol’s historical centre, will host Alexis Sunder on Friday to perform a groovy set of soul, funk and pop-rock. Retro and a blend of energetic and mellow vibes will sound from Sunder as he is accompanied by Andreas Epaminonda on lead guitar, Frangiskos Petrides on drums, Pavlos Daniel Loucaides on keys and Andreas Papageorgiou on bass.
On the following night, Larnaca rockers will party with Fuse as they take over the Savino Live stage on Saturday. A late-night performance will keep music lovers entertained with the popular band’s high-energy set beginning at 11pm.
Next week, another band will perform an electrifying set at Savino. The Full House Brew Crew, a metal band from Greece is set to play on January 17 and offer plenty of head-banging tunes to their fans. Nicosia will also host live music sets next week. New Division will open up its floor to the Murphy’s Brothers in Law band who will play blues, rock and classic rock on January 18 around 9.30pm, extending the week’s live music vibes.
