Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos participated in a tripartite meeting with his Greek and Egyptian counterparts in New York on Tuesday on the sidelines of the 79th UN General Assembly.

During the meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Greek Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, the level cooperation in various fields was reviewed, such as in matters of energy, security and the diaspora.

“The foreign ministers discussed the latest worrying developments in the region and prepared the 10th high-level summit, which is expected to take place in Egypt in 2024,” it added.

After the tripartite meeting, a bilateral meeting was held between Kombos and his Egyptian counterpart, during which bilateral cooperation and ways of deepening the Cyprus-Egypt strategic relationship were discussed.
