The fire service responded to 24 fires in the last 24 hours, it reported on Wednesday morning.
Among them were a fire which damaged three cars and a roof overnight in Limassol and fires in apartment buildings and a hybrid car battery.
Fire service spokesman Andreas Kettis, reported in a post on X that shortly after 10am on Tuesday the Paphos fire fighters responded to a fire in a small building made of polyurethane and metal sheeting, used as a guard house at a recycling station in the Tremithousa industrial area.
The fire caused extensive damage but no one was endangered, Kettis said.
Shortly before 2pm, Nicosia fire fighters responded with one fire engine to extinguish a fire in car shop in Omorfita, caused by a hybrid vehicle battery.
In Larnaca three staffed fire engines were required to respond to a call around 7pm for a fire set to furnishings on the fourth floor of an apartment building on Makarios Avenue.
The fire was dealt with by use of a fire extinguisher while the lift and the paintwork were damaged.
