A 59-year-old man tragically lost his life on Friday after falling from a height while working on a building under construction in Limassol.
The victim, identified as Marios Loukas, fell from approximately 1.8 metres while dismantling scaffolding in the Amathus area.
He was transported to a private hospital, where he was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury. Despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead later that day.
Officers from the Limassol public works department and the labour inspection department visited the scene to investigate the circumstances of the fatal workplace accident.
