A firecracker was thrown at the parking lot of a home in Aradippou on Monday, police said.

Police received a report of an explosion at around 1am in an area in Aradippou, to which firefighters and police offivers were sent.

Further investigation revealed that an unknown individual appeared to have thrown a large firecracker at the house’s parking lot.

The explosion damaged the headlights of one car and the windows of the house.

The 59-year-old home owner said he did not suspect anyone for the attack.

Bomb disposal experts arrived at the scene to figure out the type of explosive that was used, while CCTV footage of the area is also under review to identify the individuals.
