Cyprus’ Construction Materials Price Index for February 2025 recorded an annual increase of 1.38 per cent, according to the latest data from the Cyprus Statistical Service (Cystat).
Meanwhile, prices for the first two months of the year rose by 0.94 per cent.
In February, the index reached 118.56 units, with 2021 acting as the base year set at 100 points, reflecting a monthly increase of 0.82 per cent compared to January.
Breaking things down by each main product category, minerals saw the largest increase at 3.09 per cent, followed closely by mineral products, which rose by 3.04 per cent.
Electromechanical products recorded a rise of 1.85 per cent, while the collective category of wood, insulation materials, chemicals, and plastics saw a more moderate increase of 0.84 per cent.
Finally, the report showed that metal products experienced a decline, dropping by 0.74 per cent.
