Contracts for a landslide stabilisation study on the Paphos-Polis road have been signed and works are expected to begin this month, the transport ministry said on Friday.

The contracts were signed on Wednesday for three problematic sections of the Paphos-Polis road, where repeated phenomena of failure of the road surface, embankment and/or subsoil have been recorded, due to landslides or underground cavities.

The study will indicate the problems and plan the interventions necessary to stabilise those sections.

The project will last ten months and will cost €72,499 plus VAT.

The contracts were signed between the public works department and ASD Hyperstatic Engineering Design LLC.
