TechIsland, Cyprus’ largest tech association, will host the fifth edition of its flagship event, the TechIsland Summit 2025, according to an announcement released on Monday.

The annual full-day conference will take place on May 15, during the Reflect Festival, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers and innovators for a closer look at the future of technology and entrepreneurship in Cyprus.

According to the announcement, this year’s Summit will focus on the theme ‘Unlocking Opportunities’, reflecting how the tech sector is emerging as the fastest-growing industry, reshaping Cyprus’ economic landscape.

With major policy shifts underway — including tax reform, Schengen accession, and a new national AI strategy, Cyprus is setting the stage for further investment in tech and innovation.

New opportunities are also expected to emerge, from repatriating top-tier talent to scaling the startup ecosystem and leveraging the country’s crypto regulations.

The Main Stage will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions, with leading figures from across the tech and innovation sectors.

Meanwhile, building on last year’s success, the Mentors’ Hub, powered by transformation and technology consulting firm Capacitor Partners, will return as a dedicated startup support programme.

According to the announcement, the Mentors’ Hub will be located at the Reflect Expo Zone and will invite startup founders to apply for curated mentorship.

Selected participants will be matched with experienced mentors — including investors, growth leaders, CTOs, product experts and entrepreneurs — for structured, outcome-driven online sessions tailored to each startup’s needs.

“The tech sector has become one of the most important pillars of the Cypriot economy, contributing over €6 billion annually,”said Tanya Romanyukha, General Manager of TechIsland.

“For us at TechIsland, the Summit is our annual meeting point—a platform where the entire ecosystem comes together to reflect, align, and explore how we can accelerate this progress even further,” she added.

She went on to say “We’re also excited to once again join forces with Capacitor Partners for the Mentors’ Hub, offering Cyprus-based startups direct access to seasoned experts who can help them grow, innovate, and scale their businesses with confidence.”

Capacitor Partners, which has worked across 11 industries in six countries, will once again collaborate closely with TechIsland.

Elsewhere, Managing Director Michael Tyrimos said “We are entering a strategic, long-term collaboration with TechIsland aimed at strengthening the tech startup ecosystem in Cyprus.”

He further added “Through this partnership, our mission is to empower startups by connecting them not only with seasoned entrepreneurs and investors, but also with accomplished executives who can offer sector-specific guidance and support.”

“This partnership reflects our enduring commitment to cultivating entrepreneurship and accelerating innovation across the region,” Tyrimos concluded.
