The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) on Tuesday issued a warning to investors over a number of websites that are operating without authorisation to provide investment services.

The commission said the websites do not belong to any entity granted authorisation for the provision of investment services or the performance of investment activities under Article 5 of Law 87(I)/2017.

CySEC identified the websites extlimited.com, networkfinancialservices.com, gmx-trading.com, eighttoro.com and upfrontfoundation.net as unauthorised investment platforms.

The commission urged investors to exercise caution and verify the regulatory status of firms before engaging in any investment activity.

What is more, CySEC said investors should consult the official CySEC website to confirm which entities are licensed to provide investment services or carry out investment activities.

The regulator stressed that dealing with unauthorised firms exposes investors to significant financial risk and limits their access to regulatory protections.

Separately, the commission announced that it has issued a new public tender.

CySEC said the tender concerns the provision of services by two experts to conduct investigations into potential violations of current legislation by Cyprus Investment Firms (CIFs).

The commission said full details of the tender are available on its website under the tenders section.

Finally, CySEC stated that the deadline for the submission of tenders is February 27, 2026.
