The labour inspection department has announced a targeted inspection campaign at construction sites and other premises focusing on fall protection and heat stress.

According to a statement, the campaign will be carried out during March, June, July, August and September.

This year’s inspections will primarily concentrate on safeguarding workers from falls at construction sites, as well as checking compliance with key provisions of occupational safety and health legislation concerning thermal stress affecting employees at worksites and other premises.

“The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness among all parties involved in construction projects and to ensure the implementation of preventive and protective measures to reduce accidents, occupational diseases and dangerous incidents associated with activities in this sector,” the department said.
