Ten students, two drivers and one chaperone suffered light injuries in a school bus accident in Ayios Epiphanios on Tuesday.

According to police, the incident occurred when the minibus collided with a vehicle on the road from Ayios Epiphanos to Palaichori.

Okypy spokesman Charalambos Charliaou said that the passengers were transferred to Nicosia general hospital, where they underwent treatment.

Police said while the road was initially closed, all were later open to traffic.

Investigations into the circumstances of the accident are ongoing.
