There has been no indication of criminal activity in connection with the death of the woman who was found lifeless on a pedestrian walkway in Limassol on Wednesday, the police told the Cyprus Mail on Thursday.
“Details into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are expected after further examinations,” the police said.
The authorities said that information regarding the woman’s age, origin and cause of death were expected once the coroner had carried out further histopathological and toxicological examinations.
Local news media Philenews on Thursday reported that the woman was a 21-year-old Ukrainian who had been visiting the island on a visa.
When asked about a potential link with the death of 41-year-old Paphos resident Kyriakoula Koutsavaki, who was found dead at Timi beach in the Paphos region two weeks earlier, the police dismissed any connection between the two incidents.
