Paralimni-Deryneia mayor Giorgos Nikolettos met tourist agents from Serbia as the municipality stepped up efforts to strengthen its tourism promotion abroad, according to a municipal announcement. 

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to promote the destination in the Serbian market, while also examining prospects for boosting tourist flows to Cyprus and expanding Paralimni-Deryneia’s presence in the country. 

According to the announcement, Nikolettos briefed the visitors on the municipality and the resort of Protaras, setting out the area’s particular characteristics, comparative advantages and the options it offers as a modern and attractive tourist destination. 

The meeting was also attended by Cyprus Travel Agents Association (Acta) president Haris Papacharalambous and Famagusta Regional Tourism Board (Etap), director Giorgos Kafkalias.
