ERB Asfalistiki on Tuesday announced that it has reaffirmed its support for the Ministry of Defence and the National Guard, continuing for the 11th consecutive year a partnership focused on road safety and the protection of conscripts.

The company, which is Cyprus’ largest general insurance provider and a member of the Eurobank group, said it remains committed to social responsibility and prevention initiatives designed to enhance the safety of National Guard soldiers.

The initiative is based on the philosophy of “Observe-Anticipate-Act”, with the company seeking to encourage responsible behaviour on the road.

Under the slogan “Let’s not let our dreams fall apart!”, a special event was held on June 19, 2026, at the headquarters of the ERB Cyprus Group.

During the event, ERB Asfalistiki and the Ministry of Defence honoured ten National Guardsmen who made extensive use of the Free Bus Travel Plan.

Each soldier received an honorary plaque and a tablet in recognition of their commitment to using public transport.

According to the company, the initiative is intended to encourage wider participation in the scheme and help reduce the risks associated with the daily travel of conscripts.

Addressing the event, Defence Minister Vasilis Palmas, chief executive of ERB Cyprus Insurance Holdings Group Takis Phidia and general manager of ERB Asfalistiki Andreas C. Stylianou underlined the importance of road safety.

ERB Asfalistiki said it would continue implementing initiatives that promote prevention and safety, describing itself as a “Force of Safety” that stands alongside society.

The company added that it remains committed to providing meaningful support to the National Guard and helping safeguard the wellbeing of its soldiers.
