Police conducted 8,302 checks for violations of coronavirus protocols during 24 hours from Wednesday until Thursday and booked 93 individuals, including one business owner, for breaching measures in place to contain the spread of the disease.

In Nicosia, 23 people were fined, in Limassol 38, in Larnaca 11, in Paphos eight and in Famagusta 10.

Another three were booked by traffic police.

Most inspections, 2,288, were conducted in Nicosia.
