Residents who received the first dose of the Pfizer anti-coronavirus jab at Ayia Napa walk-in vaccination centre have completed their vaccination, it was announced on Thursday.

According to the written announcement from the municipality, the process ran smoothly, “without any problems”.

Thursday’s vaccination with the second dose concerned those who received the first jab three weeks ago, on July 29, the municipality said.

People who got vaccinated at the centre on August 5, can receive the second dose at the centre between 8.30am and 2pm on August 26.

The free walk-in centre operates at the central square of Ayia Napa, in collaboration with the health ministry and the municipality “with the ultimate goal of further boosting the vaccination programme”.

Walk-in vaccination centres operate nationwide for the vaccination of the general public with the Pfizer vaccine.

Non-Gesy beneficiaries can also visit those centres every Friday.
