Motorcyclist rescued after falling 10m down mountain ravine

A motorcyclist who fell 10m into a ravine  in the Troodos mountains on Sunday lunchtime was rescued by police and fire officers.

According to the police, the incident happened at around 1pm on the Troodos-Karvounas road,

Members of the police, the fire service and the ambulance crew that arrived at the scene managed to pull the man from the ravine.

He was then taken by ambulance to Limassol general hospital, where doctors said his condition is out of danger.

Police are investigating the circumstances under which the accident happened.
