A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a case of sending images of the sexual abuse of children over the internet.

He was arrested on Saturday on the basis of a court order.

According to the police, the man was arrested after information received from Europol was evaluated.

Police said the arrest followed specific information that the man was sending files to other people via an app.

The force said the man had admitted to carrying out the crimes.

In a search of his house police found and took as evidence once mobile phone and a laptop.
