Only 25 per cent of submitted complaints can be processed as anonymous hints often provided failed to provide sufficient information, the anti-corruption authority said on Monday.

Although the platform was being actively used by the public, the lack of evidence led to the rejection of a large number of anonymous complaints.

“The reason for issuing this notice is the high percentage of anonymous complaints that are rejected,” the authority said.

The authority ensured that all complaints would be “examined with due diligence and in strict compliance with the protection of personal data with the outcome of investigations posted on the website”.

However, it pointed out that anonymity prevented it from contacting complainants for further details, urging those submitting anonymous complaints to provide all necessary information.

Otherwise, the authority warns investigations may be closed due to a lack of evidence provided.

Further information on how to file an anonymous complaint can be found on the website of the anti-corruption authority’s website.
