Cabinet pays tribute to Hasikos

The Council of Ministers on Tuesday observed a minute of silence in memory of former interior minister Socratis Hasikos, who died on Monday at a hospital in Germany after a long battle with cancer,  aged 64.

During Tuesday’s cabinet meeting, which was chaired by President Nicos Anastasiades, it was decided that flags on all public buildings will fly at half-mast on the day of Hasikos’ funeral.

The President and all the members of the Council of Ministers expressed their deepest condolences to the former minister’s children and relatives.
