Pupils of the 26th Primary School in Limassol raised €4,000 for the Pancyprian Association for Children with Cancer and Related Diseases by hanging 365 personalised t-shirts in the school yard on Tuesday painted with what happiness means to them.

The money collected from donations was handed to One Dream, One Wish’s president George Penintaex.

Pupils at the school raised money through activities including making sweets and lemonade that were sold to the public, and by carrying out daily chores in their own houses.

Ten other schools in Limassol are also taking part in the initiative. On May 29 all the t-shirts painted by children will be hung at a beach in Limassol.

“With the significant amount of money they raised, we will make those children, who are fighting for their lives, very happy,” Penintaex said.
