Paphos police seeking truck arsonists

Paphos police are investigating a case of arson on truck in a fenced-off premises on Sunday night.

According to police, at around 10.40pm they received a call at the Peyia police station from the director of a company that bottles water that the truck was on fire in the parking area of the premises.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and during investigations police examined CCTV footage that showed two hooded figures with their faces covered entering the premises, throwing a flammable substance on the truck and setting it alight.

Damage to the vehicle is estimated at around 9,000 euros.

The culprits have not yet been found.
