Two held for Paphos hotel room burglary

Two people under arrest for burglary in the Famagusta district will be questioned in relation a burglary at a Paphos hotel, the Cyprus News Agency.

It said that Paphos police have obtained arrest warrants against two EU citizens, aged 30 and 35, who are being held at the Famagusta police department for a series of burglaries and thefts.

During the investigation of those cases, items were found in their possession that are believed to have been stolen from a hotel in Kato Paphos, according to a complaint filed by a tourist from Russia.

The burglary took place on July 26 and was reported to the Police on the same day. As it turned out, the complainant recognized a number of her stolen items.

Following this, Paphos CID investigators will question the two and will then submit the case to Paphos district court. Investigations are ongoing.
