Man reports being shot at while driving on the highway

Police on Friday said they are investigating a shooting incident earlier in the day on the Nicosia to Limassol motorway when someone in a moving car shot at the car of a 23-year-old man.

No injuries were reported.

The 23-year-old, a Limassol resident, reported that while he was driving towards Limassol near Yermasoyia, he saw a car trying to overtake but as soon as it approached his vehicle, he saw the driver pulling out a hunting gun and shooting at his car.

The alleged shooter then drove off. The incident took place at around 1.40am, he told police.

According to the police, there was damage to the 23-year-old’s driver’s door, caused by the shooting.
