Man remanded for attempting to travel with forged papers

A man has been remanded for five days by Paphos District Court for forging and attempting to use a forged document.

Paphos police said the man, of African origin, arrived at Paphos airport on Wednesday attempting to travel to France. When the passport control officials checked his documents, they ascertained the suspect’s documents were forged.

The man was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
