Man hospitalised after crash on highway

A man was injured after he lost control of the car he was driving on the Nicosia to Limassol motorway, police said early on Monday.

According to a police spokesman, an elderly man was driving near the Latsia exit around 10.30am when, under conditions that are being investigated, lost control of his car and crashed into the guardrail.

He was transferred via ambulance to Nicosia general hospital.

No more information was immediately available as to his condition.
