Coronavirus: Turkish Cypriots announce first cases of Omicron

Turkish Cypriots announced on Tuesday they have detected two cases of the Omicron variant of coronavirus in the north.

The two individuals did not have any travel history.

They were isolated while health authorities were chasing down their contacts.
