The level of snow in the Troodos mountains area reached 22 centimetres on Wednesday, the met office said, adding that further snowfall was expected in the coming days.
Due to adverse weather conditions, the roads connecting Troodos to Prodromou, Platres and Karvouna will only be open to 4×4 vehicles or to regular cars equipped with snow chains.
