Woman arrested for assaulting partner

A 32-year-old woman was arrested for reportedly attacking her partner with a knife at his workplace in Limassol.

Reports said the suspect visited her 29-year-old partner at around 3.45pm and during a verbal argument, used a knife she was carrying and injured him on the right arm.

An ambulance was called to the scene and transferred the injured man to Limassol general hospital where he was diagnosed with injuries to his right elbow.

He was admitted to the hospital’s orthopedic ward and is expected to undergo surgery.

Police confirmed the woman’s arrest on suspicion of carrying a knife but did not provide any further details.
