A 31-year-old man was arrested by Limassol police on Monday night for possession of stolen property.

Police had gone to the apartment after a complaint was filed that a person was staying there illegally. They found the suspect there and carried out a search, with his consent, during which they found various power tools, mobile phones, bicycles, 44 cartridges, as well as various other items.

The man failed to give an adequate explanation as to how the items came to be in his possession and he was arrested for illegal possession of property and illegal possession of explosives. Police investigations continue.
