Teen caught drunk driving 118kmph

According to police announcement, at around 1 am on Monday morning, Nicosia traffic police intercepted an 18-year-old man, travelling at a speed of 118kmph, instead of the legal 50kmph.

He was found to be under the influence of alcohol, testing at 31µg instead of the permitted 9µg.

The 18-year-old was arrested, charged in writing, and released, and is expected to appear before the Nicosia District Court for immediate trial.
