Get a breath of fresh air this Christmas

hike

A Christmas Hiking Tour is being planned for Boxing Day after the hearty Cypriot Christmas feast by Cyprus Nature Hikes. A whole day experience is to take place lasting from 9am to 5pm welcoming adults, families and children of 12 years old and above who are quite fit. Five hours of hiking will be covered on the day, plus plenty of festive activities and old village charm.

The hike will start from Fikardou village, pass from Lazanias and end at Machairas Monastery. As the route is linear and a distance of 9.8km, the hikers will return back to Fikardou, to walk, explore and enjoy the Christmas Village there this season. Once in the village, participants can attend workshops and activities such as archery, learn about traditional crafts, taste and purchase traditional products and keep warm with hot wine or Zivania.

The €20 participation fee per adult includes the guided hike with a detailed tour itinerary, a high-quality digital photo album of the hike, electrolytes and freshly-prepared Cyprus coffee during the big break. Children from 12 to 18 years old can join for free, though all participants must register by December 19.
