Police in Paphos clamp down on noise pollution

Paphos police carried out a coordinated operation to tackle noise pollution, police announced on Tuesday.

According to police spokesman, Michalis Nikolaou, over the past four days, 19 entertainment venues were booked for violations concerning the use of loudspeakers, improper licensing and others.

Police operations to combat noise pollution will continue at a later date.

Meanwhile, in the last four days, police also booked four people for using scooters on roads where it is forbidden.
