A Paphos woman was attacked and injured by two stray dogs while taking her own dog for a walk.

The 60-year-old was attacked at about 4.30pm on Thursday near the Paphos swimming pool and suffered a fractured leg during the incident.

Paphos police chief Michalis Nikolaou explained on Friday that she fell over and suffered abrasions across her body, while her own dog was lightly injured.

The woman was taken to Paphos general hospital for further treatment, while the police are investigating the case.
