The countdown is on for the 10th Anti-Skino Open-Air Festival of Theatre and Performing Arts, which on August 28 and 29 celebrates ten years with a rich two-day programme, in a new location.

Val’s Place in Gialia, Paphos is the venue that hosts the festival this year following other locations in Kato Pyrgos and Nicosia. This edition is bound to be special as it is an anniversary occasion with a celebratory mood.

With this year’s central theme being The Threshold, the anniversary edition presents a diverse programme of theatre shows, performances, music, participatory activities and artistic interventions, bringing together creators from different generations and artistic backgrounds.

Over the two days, audiences will have the opportunity to attend, among others, the performances The Return of Iphigenia, Flat Shoes, Shadows of All Kinds, Vigil for Pentheus: Reflections on the End of Civilisation, Voice and Soil, and The Belly as well as the interactive experience The Path.

The festival will also present the outcomes of its educational activities, while the venue will host creative interventions, handmade creations, pop-up artists, tattoo artists, a barber shop and other parallel activities. The festive vibes will continue until closing time with a big party on Saturday evening featuring the band USURUM which will invite festivalgoers to celebrate together a decade of theatre, creativity and community. And all this, under the tranquil, natural beauty of Gialia village overlooking the Paphos shores.
