Three individuals handed stadium bans

The Nicosia district court issued monetary fines and stadium bans to three individuals aged 25, 29, and 31, found guilty of possession of explosives and carrying an offensive weapon in the immediate vicinity of a sports venue.

According to a police statement issued on Friday, the 25-year-old and the 29-year-old were each fined €700, while the 31-year-old was fined €200.

Moreover, for these three individuals, their ban from sports venues has been extended until April 10, 2024.

The three individuals were apprehended during inspections conducted before the start of the football match between Apoel and Apollon, held at the GSP Stadium on April 10.
