A rented motorcycle caught on fire Wednesday night due to an electrical malfunction, destroying the vehicle. The driver was slightly injured.

The incident occurred along the Paralimni to Protaras road at approximately 10 pm.

A fire engine from the Famagusta fire station successfully extinguished the blaze.

The injured driver was taken to the emergency department of Famagusta general hospital for treatment.
