Two people, one from Armenia and one from Nepal, were arrested in Paphos on Tuesday after police determined that they were both living in Cyprus illegally.
The pair, aged 50 and 35 years old respectively, were arrested as part of the Paphos police’s latest operation to “combat the phenomenon of people illegally staying on the territory of the Republic”.
In addition, a total of three people, aged 39, 31, and 22 years old, were all arrested after it was found that they were working without the requisite work permits in a hotel in Kato Paphos.
All three were arrested and accused in writing, while their employer was also accused in writing of employing the trio illegally.
