The Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF) launched its “Together in Life” awareness and financial support campaign on September 28, 2024, in the courtyard of Caffè Nero Strovolos Library.
In attendance at the afternoon event were PASYKAF president Dr Anna Achilleoudi, together with members of the Association’s Board of Directors, management and executives. Other dignitaries included: Dr Christina Giannaki, Director General of the Ministry of Health, representing President Nikos Christodoulides, Chrystalla Demetriou, Senior Lieutenant of the Police Academy on behalf of the Chief of Police, as well as other officials, MPs, media representatives, partners and supporters of PASYKAF’s work, to whom the Association expresses its sincere thanks.

A special moment included the graffiti canvas entitled “It Means a lot”, a work by well-known street artist Paparazzi, created live at the event venue. Attendees had the chance to add their own artistic touches to the work, thus contributing to the completion of the project. This canvas is available for sale, with the proceeds going to support PASYKAF services and programmes.
Warm thanks go to the A.I. Musiclab Children’s Choir, which, in collaboration with the Clergy Community Council Children’s Choir, provided musical moments, brightening the afternoon.
The motto of this year’s PASYKAF campaign, ‘It Means a Lot’ aims to help raise 550 000 euros for the continuation, development and continuous upgrade of PASYKAF’s offerings – an amount reachable if each of us contributes at least two euros to the drive.
The fundraiser will run for the whole month of October. Contributions can be made at the Association’s offices, via SMS to 7060 with the code PASYKAF 5, 3 or 1, as well as online at www.pasykaf.org.
For four decades, PASYKAF has been demanding better quality for all our fellow human beings with cancer experience and their loved ones, offering its free services nationwide. In 2023, it met the needs of 7,968 people and their families, holding 39,254 meetings across Cyprus.
PASYKAF expresses its sincere thanks to the public for their contributions, as well as to ‘Proud Supporter’ OPAP Cyprus, ‘Supporter’ Eurobank, ‘Strategic Partner’ Cyta Business, ‘Official Promotional Supporter’ Mesimvria, ‘Communication Sponsor’ Alpha Cyprus, and to all the supporters, volunteers and partners involved in the ‘Together in Life’ campaign.
Together, we can all offer more and make a difference for people with cancer experience and their families, so that they can feel the love and support they so desperately need.
