Magical festive performance coming up later this month

Cyprus is set to host a much-anticipated Celebrity Christmas Gala for the first time this November, bringing a festive atmosphere to the island’s cultural scene. On November 29 and 30, audiences at the Pattihio Theatre in Limassol will be treated to an enchanting evening of ballet featuring some of the world’s finest dancers.

The Celebrity Christmas Gala will showcase talents from prestigious theatres such as La Scala (Milan), Het National Ballet (Amsterdam), Bavarian State Opera (Munich), Hungarian State Opera (Budapest) and Grand Opera (Paris), all sharing the stage for an unforgettable performance.

The event brings together an exceptional line-up of international stars including Shale Wagman (Grand Opera, Paris), Bianca Gomes (Dresden Opera), Boris Zhurilov and Maria Yakovleva (Hungarian State Opera, Budapest), Anna Tsygankova and Georgi Potkishvili (Dutch National Ballet), Ksenia Shevtsova and Jacob Feyferlink (Bavarian State Ballet, Munich).

Audiences can expect a selection of classical ballet masterpieces, including scenes from La Bayadère, Paquita, Swan Lake, and the timeless Christmas favourite, The Nutcracker. These iconic works promise to create a magical and festive experience for all in attendance.

A highlight of the evening will be the performance by Cypriot ballerina Natalia Krekou, the leading soloist of the Theater Chemnitz, Germany. Natalia’s career began on the island, and she has since earned international acclaim through her remarkable talent and dedication. Her return to perform on her home stage at the Celebrity Christmas Gala is a source of pride for Cyprus, celebrating her success and inspiring the next generation of dancers.

The Celebrity Ballet Gala series has captivated audiences around the world, with over 8,200 attendees across six past events. This Christmas edition aims to be a crowning achievement, uniting the best of global ballet in a show that is both unique and uplifting.
