Leading exporter of Cyprus pasta and flour, Mitsides, in collaboration with Puratos Belgium and Puratos Hellas, held a special Masterclass dedicated to the high-quality Belgian chocolate Belcolade, on January 30, 2025 in Limassol.
The Masterclass was presented by world-renowned French chef confectioners Stefan Leroux and Jonathan Mougel, both of whom are awardees of the MOF Patissier Confiseur (Best Craftsman of France) top distinction, and for whom the occasion marked the first-ever trip to Cyprus. Also joining the Masterclass were six renowned Mitsides and Puratos Hellas chefs.


The Masterclass, which lasted six hours, drew over 40 chefs from major hotels, restaurants and pastry shops in Cyprus, each of whom enjoyed many different applications of Belcolade Cacao Trace and Belcolade Origins chocolates.
Belcolade Cacao Trace chocolates are part of Puratos’ sustainability programme and stand out for their taste as they rest on improved cultivation methods and, as a result, result in better quality cocoa. At the same time they create better living conditions for local cocoa farmers in Africa and other producing countries.



The evening culminated in a special chocolate pairing, with wines selected by an award-winning sommelier accompanying the unique Belcolade Origins chocolates Cameroon milk and Vietnam dark.
As part of Mitsides’ and Puratos’ CSR actions, part of the Masterclass’ proceeds will be donated to the “One Dream, One Wish” Association, which supports children suffering from cancer and related diseases.
