The samba beats and carnival rhythms will reach every corner of the island this week, from the city centres to its shores. The Ayia Napa Marina Carnival party this Saturday will bring the fiery carnival spirit to the seafront with events and activities for all ages.

“For yet another year,” say organisers, “the craziest, most fun and exciting Carnival party awaits you at the Ayia Napa Marina!”

From noon until 5.30pm, the Marina Event Plaza will transform into a colourful and loud carnival epicentre with live shows, dancers and presenters. The day’s agenda will begin with a live link from 12pm to 2pm with radio hosts broadcasting the carnival pulse. Then a rich programme will commence.

At 2.20pm a Brazilian Dance Show will bring the uplifting rhythms of Brazil to Ayia Napa. At 2.40pm, the Handstand Acrobatics is set to wow visitors with spectacular skills while the Zumba Kids Dance show at 2.50pm will bring children’s energy to the fore.

At 3.10pm, the Batukinio Percussion band will pick up the pace with a dynamic drumming performance reminiscent of traditional Afro-Brazilian carnival beats. A second round of the Brazilian Dance Show will then continue before the Mocycle Acrobatics Show, a unique performance on a unicycle that will impress with its physical skill and originality takes the stage.

In the afternoon, there will be more Zumba dancing for the little ones, a Juggling Acrobatics Show that will demonstrate another aspect of Carnival creativity and a final performance where dancers and the drummers from Batukinio Percussion Band will take the stage to close the carnival spree in the most impressive way. The DJs will take over the final hour of the event, keeping the spirits high.
