The Pavlakis family group has completed an extensive renovation programme at its three Ayia Napa hotels, Nissi Beach Resort, Nissi Park and Alion Beach, as part of a long-standing policy of continuous upgrades.

General manager of Alion Beach and Nissi Park, Panicos Michael, together with Nissi Beach operations manager George Philippou, told the Cyprus hoteliers association’s (Pasyxe) August edition of Xenodochos that the group’s guiding principle remains the vision of its late founder, Pavlos Pavlakis.

“The philosophy was and remains authentic hospitality and the feeling of ‘home away from home’,” they said.

Moreover, the managers explained that the upgrade plan is revised every year, shaped by guest feedback, design trends, technology and environmental priorities.

“As a matter of policy, there is a continuous, dynamic upgrade programme,” they noted.

At the Alion Beach hotel, the latest phase included a redesign of the gardens with gazebos and new landscaping, upgraded sunbeds and umbrellas, fresh furniture in the lobby, bathroom renovations on one floor and renewed restaurant menus.

Meanwhile, at Nissi Park, following last year’s full refurbishment of rooms and common areas and the installation of a photovoltaic system, the focus shifted this year to staff facilities.

These have now been fully renovated, offering the same modern standards as guest areas.

Nissi Beach Resort has also undergone extensive investment, with improvements to rooms, beach restaurants and outdoor spaces.

At the same time, the group has advanced its green transition, installing a large photovoltaic system, insulating large sections of the complex and upgrading engine rooms to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. For 2025, a full renovation of the pool area is planned.

“What we want to set us apart from the rest is authentic hospitality,” Michael and Philippou said. “We are different because we care, and guests feel this from the moment they arrive.”

They stressed that the philosophy is the same whether it is the boutique Nissi Park, the four-star Nissi Beach Resort or the five-star Alion.

As for visitors, the three hotels attract different audiences. Nissi Beach Resort draws families, couples and groups of friends, while its gardens are a popular venue for weddings by the sea.

By contrast, the smaller Nissi Park appeals mainly to couples seeking a relaxed holiday with good value for money, modern facilities and friendly service.

Alion, on the other hand, attracts guests looking for a medium-sized luxury hotel, personal service and direct access to one of Cyprus’ most celebrated beaches.

Finally, asked about expansion, the managers said there were no plans for new hotels at present. “The effort is focused on upgrading existing units,” they explained.
