A plugged-in extension cable caused a house fire on Wednesday night in Pano Polemidia, Limassol.

All residents managed to exit the house safely, the fire brigade said.

Spokesman Andreas Kettis said the fire was reported just after 9pm and was put out an hour later.

The fire started in a bedroom, causing extensive damage and affecting house’s wiring, furniture and paintwork.
